Project Overview
Located in the heart of Cohasset Village, on the South Shore of Massachusetts, this historic colonial-style farmhouse required a careful approach to preserve its character while bringing the windows up to modern standards.
We replaced 45 windows, along with the exterior trim and historic sills. Each window opening was carefully inspected, and areas of rotten wood were removed and properly repaired before installation.
As is common with historic homes, the existing structure was not perfectly level or square. We carefully adjusted and leveled each window opening to ensure a precise installation while maintaining the character and proportions of the original farmhouse.
Each window was individually secured, properly insulated, and weather-sealed to provide long-term protection from the elements.
For the exterior, we installed AZEK trim and sills, carefully detailed to blend with the historic appearance of the farmhouse. The result maintains the traditional character of the home while providing the durability and performance of a modern window installation.
